Lawnmower Problems...

So all of the sudden I have lawnmower problems. The sweet Craftsman with the Briggs and Stratton engine I bought last summer is on the ropes. I stand there, ready to go but when I pull the "Easy Start" rip cord....nothing. Nothing but sputtering, a little smoke, and then a stall. Sometimes I can get that sucker to go, but its not even worth it. The engine will kick and sputter, sounding like it will die any minute as I try to mow.

EUREKA! I have found the owner's manual.

Okay, so now that my knuckles are torn to hell but trying very hard to pull and pull the "Easy Start" cord, I have begun to do some serious trouble shooting. I really think it could be one of three things....

1.) Too much oil....
2.) Dirty Air Filter
3.) Water in the fuel


We will see. I need to make a trip to OSH today for some back up parts.....
