Slow and Stable

This week was slow and stable, there was not much happening in the good old East Bay. There were, however, 2 murders in Livermore. This city never used to be considered East Bay, but now it basically is. Once a "cow town", it now offers premier golf courses, an up and coming wine industry, and of course, million dollar homes. I don't care about all of that because it is still Livermore, full of the WT, and murders are occurring there. Livermore is also home to the Lawrence Nuclear Lab which helps make components for our nation's arsenal. I do think that is pretty cool....I'm sure Bin Laden does too!

10 miles west in the beautiful suburb of Dublin, all is quiet. We have not had a murder is quite some time and the last one was "organized crime" related. I mean the guy got it with an ice pick to the back of the head!!! Is that straight out of the Sopranos or what? We still get bagged on by neighboring communities for whatever reason, but its all good and fine. We have Hooter's, they don't.

Tomorrow I have to get my ass up at 4:00 am for 22 mile training run. I have the Rock 'N Roll Marathon in San Diego in 5 weeks and am hoping to have an awesome race. This race consists of about 30,000 people running 26.2 miles with a band playing live at every mile. I have hopes someday to run the marathon in France's southern wine region where, instead of a band at every mile, you taste a different type of local wine! The French are cowards, I know, but what a great concept! Anyway, the training run should be fine. Running that early is nice because you get done early, then you can do whatever the hell you want!
